BOOK JACKET DESIGN

Project was to design a book jacket (cover, spine, and back) for any book of fiction that could be graphically expressed through the design of the jacket. The cover should be type-focused, well composed, include a small illustration and lastly a color palette that correlates to the story. I designed the cover where it would make the readers curious and wonder what the book is about. The illustration is the hotel in the Colorado hills which sets the setting of the story. The hotel is covered in red aura which connects to a trail that goes throughout the whole cover of the book. I included this trail because it foreshadows the journey and the ending of the story.
